In addition to scheduled backups, you can create on-demand backups at any time.
Creating a Manual Backup
- Go to Site Dashboard → Backups
- Click Backup Now
- Choose what to include:
- Full backup — database + files
- Database only — just the MySQL dump
- Files only — just wp-content
The backup will be uploaded to your configured storage provider.
Downloading a Backup
Click the Download button next to any backup to generate a temporary download link. Links expire after 1 hour.
Before Major Changes
We recommend creating a manual backup before:
- Running WordPress core updates
- Updating plugins or themes in bulk
- Running database migrations
- Making significant configuration changes
